Eindhoven, The Netherlands Starting on 7 June, all eyes will be on soccer stadiums in Austria and Switzerland, which will be host to the Euro 2008 soccer championships. For the occasion, Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS) has developed a web site dedicated to the event where everyone, and not just soccer fans, can try to predict which team is going to win the tournament.
Participating in the competition is fast, easy and free. All you need to do is visit the site http://www.flexvoetbal.nl/liteon, fill out the registration form, and then put your soccer knowledge and expertise to the test. As part of the game, visitors can predict the outcome of each match and the total number of goals scored. Points will be awarded for each successful prediction, and the contestant who achieves the highest score will win a next-generation videogame console and will be able to continue experiencing the excitement of soccer at home.
The second-place contestant will receive a DH-4O1S internal Blu-ray drive, and a cenOmax F7012A digital photo frame will be awarded for third place. Lots of other prizes will be available for place four to ten. Accumulating points is easy, and the company has set up a number of categories of participation and also made it possible to change your predictions right up until the opening whistle.
