Eindhoven, The Netherlands - Lite-On IT will introduce a new 16x internal DVD drive to the market in August: the SHM-165H6S. It is a very complete optical drive, which features both LightScribe direct disc labeling and DVD-RAM compatibility.
Writing speeds of 16x can be reached for DVD±R. For Double Layer discs, there is a maximum writing speed of 8x, while Dual Layer discs can be written at 4x. For DVD-RAM 5x can be achieved by the SHM-165H6S. The drive rewrites DVD+RW media at 8x and DVD-RW at 6x.
Super AllWrite The SHM-165H6S is the next drive in the line of Lite-On Super AllWrite drives. Super AllWrite is the term that Lite-On uses to emphasize the drive's compatibility with all possible media: DVD±R(W) (DL), DVD-RAM and CD-R(W). This makes it the perfect solution for all optical storage requests.
